I WAS disgusted to read the letter from Alan Carmichael in the Star (July 19 edition).
He has no respect for the elderly couples that come into town to do their shopping on the local bus.
They shop in M&S because the food is good and easy to cook for them. Their husbands sit on the seats in M&S waiting for their wives and then help them home with the shopping.
They have no cars to go to the retail park.
A lot of elderly people have not got the money to spend in cafes.
Please M&S keep the food department open in town for everyone.
