I CANNOT believe how much the world has gone mad!

My daughter has had a sore throat and needs Calpol throughout the day.

This morning I took Ruby into the school reception with a bottle of Calpol asking the school office please could they give her it at lunch time.

I was gobsmacked at the response when they said we can’t do that anymore because the Calpol has to be prescribed by a doctor.

So I have three options:
1. Take a day off work myself to keep my child at home so that I can give her the Calpol.

2. Take some time off work to take my child to the doctors to get the Calpol prescribed and take her back to school (if I could get an appointment the same day).

3. Leave my child at school without the Calpol knowing her throat will start to get sore again around lunch time and wait for the school to ring me to come and collect her because she is too ill to stay in school and have to finish work early.

I cannot see the logic in any of the above.

I think the better option would be for the school office to give her Calpol that I could have dropped off.
