I WOULD like to add my support for the Central Library at the Gamble Building.
It is the right location for its services.
The World of Glass is an important but different town asset.
It is not however an appropriate facility for our main library.
Modernising the Gamble Building is not beyond our town officials!
For several months now I have been requesting access to to the maps – these are old and very large maps of the borough dating back to 1845 and beyond.
With the library closure, and it going on so long, these maps have not been available to researchers and local historians.
