Millhouse caused the upset of the round by beating Premier Division side Clock Face Miners at home 3-1 with goals by Thomas 2 Williams; In a titanic struggle at Bishop Road Greenfield pipped Sumner Street 5-4 with goals by Gallagher, Dennett, Ablewhite, Henthorn 2 seeing them into the next round Sumner Street scorers were Rushton, Arnold, Ward and an own goal.
