WHILE I am pleased to see investment in our local station at Newton-le-Willows, I am concerned that it appears there is nothing planned for Earlestown station. I trust I am misinformed.
Earlestown has a rich history with the railroads and is still a much used busy station. We desperately need disabled access to the platforms.
Parents also struggle hauling babies and prams over the bridges. I note there will be a new subway built at Newton station.
Surely the priority should be one for Earlestown station, where currently there isn’t a subway?
My family and I have been and continue to be regular users from Earlestown station.
Please consider a subway for us as a priority.
