IN response to last week’s letter about dog fouling in St Helens Cemetery.
I used to go to St Helens Crem/ Cemetery with my nan and their dog as a child, and now I go there with my dog at times when I visit her grave.
Walking those grounds is so nice.
Dogs should be allowed around the grounds, but they should be kept on leads at all times and owners should watch them and make sure they don’t urinate or defecate on anybody’s grave.
It’s common sense and respectful for the deceased and their loved ones. People who let their dogs urinate on headstones are a disgrace.
Do they not realise how much they cost?
