WITH regard to bus services in St Helens - the ‘service’ between Rainford and the town centre is, by any stretch of the imagination, abysmal.
More often than not, buses are late or don’t even come at all!
If people could rely on the service then two per hour would be OK, but most people in Rainford have given up on the possibility that a bus may arrive.
People would use buses if they were dependable.
However, the drop in the town centre footfall is directly linked to the poor bus services.
‘Bus roulette’ is a common game in Rainford and maybe also in other parts of St Helens!
