IN response to the Star’s reporting about the housing waiting list in St Helens.
The housing list isn’t fit for purpose. Back in 2014 when I moved back here (my hometown), I was offered a property in serious disrepair. I was told if I didn’t accept it, I wouldn’t be offered anything for a further six months.
Feeling I had very little choice, I had to take it.
Since then, 2014... I have still bid on more suitable and financially suitable properties, EVERY single week and I have NEVER been offered a single thing. Ten years this year.
