WHILE taking my pet dog for his nightly walk around Mere Grange, my dog’s lead snapped.
As I was on the path tying the two halves of the lead together, a car pulled up next to me. The lady wound her window and said that she had just seen the lead snap on me, so she had turned back on herself to offer me a lead that she had in her car.
I replied to the lady, “No, it’s OK thank you” because we are expecting a new one from Amazon any time soon. I thanked the lady very much then we said goodbye and she carried on.
All on the rest of my walk I was thinking what a lovely caring person she was to go to the trouble of turning back on herself.
Just in case this lady is reading this, I would like once again to say thank you very much for being so caring.
