AFTER what seemed a tight affair in the first half, Pilkington blasted away Tarporley with an emphatic second half display to win 7-1.
A through ball from Matty Taylor found Graham Boylan who neatly finished on 20 minutes but despite being a goal up, the first half display from Pilks was sluggish and only poor finishing let Tarporley down.
Within seven minutes of the second half Pilks were 3-0 up.
Luke MacCausland converted a corner, then Taylor provided an impressively cool finish.
Taylor completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute when his stunning free kick beat the wall.
In the 75th minute, Boylan headed home from eight yards out and two minutes later, Tarporley had a rare second half attack to slot home a consolation goal.
Then, minutes later, Taylor who after seeing the keeper off his line, chipped the ball into the net from 35 yards out. Taylor completed the rout in the 88th minute.
