SAINTS full back Ben Barba is rated as 50:50 for Thursday's game at home to Catalans.

Barba was carried off on a stretcher at Salford, and although cleared of of major injury he nevertheless still has some soreness in his neck.

It is similar with James Roby, who is close to playing after missing three matches with a rib cartilage injury.

Saints boss Justin Holbrook said: "It was pleasing to have Benny cleared from a major injury.

"He is not 100 per cent and he is still sore with the nerves in his neck, but it is settling down.

"If it settles down enough by Thursday then we will play him. If not we won't so it will be 50:50 whether he will play against Catalans.

"We will name him in the 19, and if there is no pain he will play."

Roby is close to playing - and wants to get on the park, but will not play if still sore.

"Robes is similar to Benny," Holbrook said.

"If he is right I will play him. He is getting better every day but if he has got discomfort there at the back end of the week, then he won't. He wants to play which is great.

"If they are both fit they will play."
