SAINTS boss Justin Holbrook was delighted with the way his side backed up Friday's win by completing an Easter double.
They held all the aces in a 28-6 victory at Halton Stadium.
Holbrook said: “We had 16 out of 17 backing up from Good Friday and it was a good test to see how we responded.
“I thought they did a really good job in tough conditions.
“There’s probably no right or wrong answer when you look at making changes in this situation. All I can say is that it’s credit to the player group to want to do that – and do it, as they did, in such good fashion.”
Holbrook praised the contributions of Ben Barba, two-try Tommy Makinson and prop Kyle Amor.
He continued: “Ben is a fantastic player and he showed that again today. Tommy is a great finisher and scored two really good ones. For him to reach 100 for the club is a great achievement.
"He is a pleasure to coach and I am really pleased for him.
“Kyle had his best game too.”
