SAINTS welcome back Matty Smith to the squad for Thursday night's trip to Castleford in the opening round of the Super 8s.
However, it is not guaranteed that he will dislodge on-song pair Theo Fages and Danny Richardson.
Smith has not played since suffering an horendous eye injury in the game at Leeds in June - and in his place youngster Richardson has excelled to get a tight grip of the shirt.
Prop Luke Douglas will be out of of action for the next two weeks with a knee injury, with Kyle Amor expected to play more minutes from the outset as a result.
Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook has been operating in the middle for weeks and that will ensure Saints will have four front rowers.
