ST HELENS hockey team welcomed top-of-the-league Didsbury on Saturday and earned a frustrating point after having dominated for large spells.
The game ended 2-2, with goals for St Helens coming from Alan and Phil Travis.
St Helens took an early lead only to be pegged back by two quick Didsbury goals before half time.
An early equaliser in the second half gave St Helens hope of getting the three points and despite the majority of possession and territory the decisive goal didn’t materialise.
On Saturday St Helens travel to a Horwich team that now occupy top spot.
