It's been a busy week for 12 year old tennis player Maisie Lavelle who has enjoyed success in both Aegon County Cup and the HSBC Road to Wimbledon competitions.

Maisie, who trains at Rainford Tennis Club, was selected to be part of the Lancashire 12 & Under Girls team who won the national finals of the annual Aegon County Cup. Maisie played her part as the team were crowned national champions on the indoor courts at Bolton Arena. It has been a successful season for Rainford with Phoebe Mitchell and Cameron Ashley-Jones also having represented Lancashire as well earlier in the year.

Maisie has also once again won the County Finals of the HSBC Road to Wimbledon and qualifies to play in the national finals at the All England Club in August. This will be Maisie's second appearance on the grass-courts of SW19 having competed there in 2014.
