THE final Combination, Division One, games took place on Tuesday May 13 that terminated the 2007 season at Parr Stocks. Boilermakers (Andrew Day (3), Craig Winstanley and Gareth Leyland) upset Thatto Heath 5-1 and at Bishop Road, Knowsley South Reserves (Anthony Lyons (2), Andrew O'Neil, Ian Roberts and Simon Jones) romped home 5-1 against New Street.

The third outstanding game was a walkover for Junction as Eccleston United unfortunately cried off.

At Greenalls Club, Alder Hey Road this Monday evening, the Combination combined its General Meeting with a Presentation Night. President Eric Bond and Chairman Bill Roberts presented all the successful Combination recipients with their cups, medals and individual trophies.

Besides the three successful cup final winners and runners-up etc, presented on their occasions, Monday's recipients were: Star Premier Division Champions - Old Xaverians Reserves; Runners-up - East Villa Reserves; Division leading goal scorer - Steven Kane (East Villa); Sporting award - Old Congs Division One Champions - Greenfields; Runners up - Knowsley South Reserves; Leading goal scorer - Anthony Lyons (Knowsley South Reserves); Sporting award - Rainford North End Reserves Division Two Champions - Penlake Senior Reserves; Runners up - Brownedge; Leading goal scorer - Rob Leyland (Brownedge); Sporting award - Cricketers Long Service Award - Tony Innelli (York) Club Secretary of the Year - Raymond Heath (Bold Rangers) Referee of the Year - Paul Stevenson The date for the forthcoming Annual General Meeting will be Monday, June 16 starting at 7.30pm at Greenalls Club, Alder Hey Road.
