PILKINGTON Recs will be aiming to carry on the Challenge Cup giant-killing a step further when they take on 1987 winners Halifax in the fourth round at Langtree Park on Saturday, 2.30pm.

Recs saw off League 1 outfit London Skolars in the last round, with a keen defensive platform paving the way for a 13-0 win at Ruskin Drive.

But last year’s Middle 8s side Halifax, will pose a much more formidable challenge for the Red, Amber and Blacks.

The west Yorkshire outfit are physically much stronger than Recs’ last opponents with veteran former Leeds and Wakefield front row Richard Moore the old head in a team that contains three former Saints juniors – Steve Tyrer, Miles Greenwood and Andy Bracek.

Recs coach Kurt Haggerty will know plenty about Halifax - from playing against them in the Championship with both Leigh and now Bradford.

The club is hoping for a big gate at Saints’ home with tickets are priced at £10 Adults, £5 Concessions and £1 Children.

Tickets can be bought at the Saints Superstore, but spectators can also pay on the gate.

All spectators will be in the South Stand with entry via the South East turnstiles.

Parking will be available at the stadium to spectators.
