ST HELENS Sutton A.C. were well represented at the popular Manchester Marathon, which is one of the flattest, fastest Marathons in the country.

Unfortunately former race winner Matt Crehan had to pull up at the 15 mile point due to an injury.

Evergreen Veteran Barry Graney was the clubs first finisher in the very good time of 3hours 22 mins 29 secs.

Joe Byrne was next to finish in a time of 3hours 24 mins 04 secs and Michael Brussels completed the sub 3:30 mins finishers in a time of 3Hours 25 mins 58secs.

Martin Johnson narrowly missed the 3:30 Mark clocking 3Hours 32 mins 04 secs. Meanwhile in the ladies section of the race Siobhan Massey posted a time of 3Hours 40mins 35 secs and a special mention for Siobhan who raised £700 for the British Heart Foundation in the process.

Making her Marathon debut and breaking the 4 hour mark Rebekah Symonds rounded out the clubs impressive turnout in a time of 3Hours 59 mins 51 secs.
