NRL recruit Waqa Blake has been dropped to the Saints Reserves for tomorrow's home game against Wakefield at The Totally Wicked Stadium.

It raised a few eyebrows when Blake was not named in the 21 to travel to the south of France, particularly with Mark Percival out after failing a HIA against Wigan.

Blake was also omitted from the team that played Wigan on Good Friday - and the onus is now on him to try and fight his way back into first team contention.

Although the town and Social Media has been awash with rumours about Blake since Saturday, there has been no formal investigation into the player or any disciplinary action taken by the club.

It is now down to Blake, who signed a one-year deal at the start of the year, to do his talking on the pitch and fight for a place in a competitive backline.

First Team players who could also feature in tomorrow's Reserves game include Sam Royle, Ben Lane, McKenzie Buckley, Dayon Sambou, Will Roberts, Jonny Vaughn and Leon Cowen.

All could be in contention to play on Saturday morning for Derek Hardman’s reserves outfit.

The game takes place tomorrow Saturday, 6 April, kicking off at 1pm at The Totally Wicked Stadium Match.

Admission: Adults – £5, Concessions – £3 Free for members.
