ST HELENS Sutton A.C. Senior Men's A Team are celebrating winning Division 3 of the Manchester Area Cross Country League and gaining promotion to Division 2 for the 2024/2025 Season.
Sutton held off challenges from Macclesfield Harriers & A.C. (second) and Buxton A.C. (third) to finish Top of the League out of 23 Teams.
Other Sutton teams League positions were as follows U11 Girls 9th, U11 Boys 12th, U13s Girls 11th, U13 Boys 13th, U15 Boys 10th, U17 Men 7th, Junior Women 2nd, Senior Ladies 5th, Ladies Vets 4th, Senior Men's B Team 16th and Senior Men's Vets 4th.
Individual awards were also given to the following athletes for their respective race positions after four League Races; U13 Boys 1st Bobby Birkett, U17 Men 1st Liam Johnson and Under 20 Ladies Taylor Massey 2nd.
The club is now looking forward to the road racing and track seasons.
