St Helens Sutton are crowned cross country champions

 Bettering last years 2nd place and winning the Championship for the first time since 2018 and the 6th time in the clubs history.

The team held off close challenges from Liverpool Harriers 2nd and Wirral A.C.3rd to claim top spot. Nine teams closed in.

The scoring six on the day was at Clarke's Gardens, Liverpool were, 6th Daniel Cooke, 32:40, 10th Steve Anders 34:27, Steve also finishing 1st MV40, 12th Chris Birkett 35:49, 19th Matt Blake 36:39, 21st Mike Brussells 37:09 and 24th Dean Dale 37:26.

Evergreen Barry Graney providing good support in 34th place clocking 40:22. Senior Mens Coach Ray Vose being delighted with his team and all the hard working in training coming to fruition.

Meanwhile in the Ladies section of the Championships, the team of ,Amy Upton 19th 43:49, Sonya Monaghan 21st 44:33, Sarah Birkett 22nd 45:06 and Siobhan Massey 27th 47:10 , finished 7th .
