THE main St Helens Strider turn out at the weekend was in neighbouring town of Leigh at Pennington Flash, with their second race of the year; Festive Flash 5 mile.
The trail off road race was completed and volunteered by many Striders showering the muddy course in a sea of red.
Striders as a club did exceptionally well coming away with some great positions.
Kelly Hamilton and Emma Callery were overall first and second female winners, whilst Neil Hunter was the first Male strider to finish and overall fourth to cross the line.
Chip time results are pending to be published.

Another 10k held in Wesham on Saturday was ran by David Wilson in a PB time of 36:27.
