THIRTEEN Striders turned out this week to take part in the fourth race of the Merseyside Grand Prix at Birkenhead.
Despite the rain, this five-mile course remains a club favourite. Eric Ranson was the first Strider to finish in 31.02 followed by Scott Robertson in 31.05.
Lisa Cheers and Emma Callery crossed the line together in 36.15 as the first Strider ladies to finish.
The Strider men's team are currently in 7th position and the female team in 5th position with six more races to go in the Merseyside Grand Prix.
Anita Hall, Ruth Besford, Gary Spriggs and Simon Poole took part in the Baht'at trail half marathon at Ilkley.
After months of training, Striders' Paul Booth stepped up to compete in his first EpicMan. Due to high winds, the 1.9km swim in the River Lune was cancelled for health and safety reasons. However, the 90k bike ride and 21k run still went ahead as planned.
