PRESCOT's men consolidated their position at the top of the league with an emphatic 6-0 away win at Southport.
In tricky conditions the first XI scored at will with goals from Foy, Boulton, Mortimer (2), Doyle and Heaps securing a valuable three points.
With nearest rival Bury losing 5-0, Prescot are now in pole position with a game in hand.
Meanwhile the ladies 2nds triumphed 11-3 against Manchester University.
The goals were flying in and with seven bagged by half time there was no let up from Prescot in the second half. The convincing win moves the ladies into mid table.
Junior hockey available to all all under 18s for free at Sutton Leisure Centre every Wednesday at 7pm.
Currently, seven Prescot juniors have been selected for Lancashire hockey trials for 2016.
