COWLEY student Ryan Moore, the 32kg Merseyside & Cheshire champ, put in an absolutely flawless performance to beat his Tyne Tees & Wear opponent 5-0 on the score cards The Wildcard boxer goes on to fight in Sunday’s next quarter final at Everton Park sports centre.

Joe Smith the club’s 44kg champ was stopped in the early stages of his bout against a young international from the Tyne.

Joe was boxing well, picking his shots when the referee called halt after an exchange in which neither boxer seemed to have come out on top.

Decisions like this could knock some kids’ confidence but this has made Joe more determined.
