Pilkington leap-frog Middlewich Town after two-goal win

PILKINGTON moved up to fourth spot in the Division One of the Cheshire Football League, leap frogging opponents Middlewich Town after beating them 2-0.

Danny Hughes gave Pilkington the lead in the 18th minute when Graeme Green flicked on a Karl Elias free kick.

Pilkington keeper Aaron Cameron was called into action several times by a Middlewich onslaught but the keeper help strong to keep the Middlewich attack at bay.

Hughes was in form again in the second half when he rifled a free kick into the top corner from 25 yards after Green was fouled outside the penalty area.
