ART fans packed in to view the work of St Helens’ young artists at the St Helens College Raw Arts Show earlier this month.
The exhibition showcased the works of more than 40 St Helens College FE art students and covered the whole spectrum of art domains – from graphic design and interactive media, to photography and fashion.
Charlotte French, a voluntary teaching assistant at the college, was partially responsible for organising the event.
She said: “The exhibition highlights the talent of St Helens’ HE art students, and is a chance for people to see that art is important.
“Art education is not being recognised as much as it should be and the higher education art courses that St Helens College offers are losing attention and focus.”
Charlotte hopes to gain more exposure for St Helens art students over the coming year.
