YOUNGSTERS at Queen’s Park Primary School tackled chariot design, Chinese dragons and Ted Hughes’ Iron Man as part of their Technology Week.
They made castles, robots with flashing eyes and produced working models featuring camshafts and gears.
Year six students also visited the Land Rover plant at Speke, where they saw vehicles take shape – from design stage to assembly.
The week was organised by school technology co-ordinator Andrea Atherton, and saw pupils using a range of skills from cutting and joining materials to sawing and sticking.
Head teacher David Thorpe said: “The children had to explain to their parents what they had done and how they had built their models. They were amazed.”
