THE litter problem on Red Rocks footpath is evident from Carmel College all the way to Taylor Park gates at Holme Road.

One can while away a summer stroll counting Subway cups, wrappers, chip papers and a multitude of plastic bottles and coffee cups.

Despite numerous email conversations to the council, they have made it clear they are not interested in infrequent clean ups down Red Rocks, citing costs.

It would seem they can’t get community payback to walk up there now and again even though, in theory, that wouldn’t cost them anything.

It would seem the council is not interested in how our town looks.
