CLLR Andy Bowden’s statement in the St Helens Star dated March 9 said “hard choices will have to be made” over libraries, environmental health, trading standards, ranger services, waste collection and recycling, street cleaning, highways, road safety, traffic management, parking services, recreation and sport.
All come under review in a bid to save money.
If this is your aim, first out the window would be stop the Christmas lights switch on outside the town hall, saving thousands in one swoop.
What a waste of money, no such gimmicks in Wigan.
