I READ the article about De La Salle school and it really got my back up. I find it sad how inspectors are making judgements on being in school a couple of days.

Yes the school is in special measures but I personally can say I have seen the hard work done by all staff. My daughter Indya in the last few months before the summer had progressed in all subjects.

I just want to share some statements that Indya has expressed about De La Salle the school with "dull and boring teaching".

Indya is due to have an operation soon due to it being cancelled in the school holidays. She asked her surgeon specifically to have it in the holidays because she didn't want to miss school.

Since starting back she is really happy with the teachers. Indya especially likes her History teacher who she thinks is strict but his lessons are very interesting. She is very excited when it is Science and says her teacher does "brill experiments".

Indya has woken up everyday for school without the usual dramatics.
Does this sound like a child who goes to a day of "dull and boring" teaching?

So I want to say thank you for the first Class teaching of Indya. Thank you to Mrs Guy for all her support to Indya and myself, she runs an excellent pastoral team.

Also to the reception ladies who are always helpful.

I am really happy with Indya going to De La Salle and appreciate all the hard work and dedication from all the staff. I have no problems on recommending the school.
