I AGREE with the person who praised Marie Rimmer in the Star.
She had strong Labour principles and did her best for both old and young in the town whereas the present Labour crowd go out of their way to deprive the vulnerable and blame Tory cuts for doing it.
Even good things like sheltered accommodation have been ruined by cutting the hours of caring wardens so old folk have no one to turn to.
They should no longer be called 'sheltered' because they are not. And Marie might have done something about it.
