AFTER a visit to Taylor Park with my children on bank holiday Monday I would like to say how angry, disappointed and totally disheartened I am.
My children were riding their scooters, but having to dodge dog dirt that owners cannot be bothered to pick up, when a dog ran in front of one of my children who then swerved to miss it.
The owner went mad saying “children should not be allowed to ride scooters in the park” but showed no concern for what could have happened to my child.
In my opinion dogs should be on a lead where children, who rightly so, should be playing freely in the park.
When is the council going to stop these dog meetings which all seem to congregate around the café?
Surely a park should be for children and adults firstly and if dog owners want to take their dogs to the park they should be responsible and considerate to other human beings.
Angry parent,
St Helens
