A NEIGHBOURHOOD police boss has pledged to act on concerned neighbours' views following the opening of a new community base where residents can chat to police in confidence.
The new access point has opened its doors at Derbyshire Hill Family Centre, Parr, where residents can meet local officers, and discuss issues of concern.
The centre offers a range of activities for adults and sporting facilities, including an indoor climbing wall.
Neighbourhood Inspector for Parr, Sutton and Bold neighbourhood, Claire Richards, said: "Having an access point at this location will enhance our ability to engage with the local community and find out what issues they want us to concentrate on.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to use this centre and welcome anyone to call in and speak to us.
"Regular meetings will be held with local residents and my officers will regularly engage with the local community as part of the various activities held at the centre."
