Delays to continue during maintenance work on railway bridge

MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays as maintenance work continues on the overhead railway bridge on the East Lancs Road.
Work on the Network Rail bridge near the Waterside pub at Carr Mill has been rescheduled to run from this week to Friday, October 26.
Both carriageways will be closed overnight between the junctions of Carr Mill Road and Liverpool Road/Stanley Bank Way until Saturday, 9pm to 6am, and Sunday, October 21, to Thursday, October 25, also from 9pm to 6am.
During the full six weeks narrow lanes will be in place, involving reduced speed limits.
