AFTER the stunning success of last year’s 3D pavement art event ‘St Helens Splash,’ leading exponents Urban Canvas are heading back to St. Helens to show how it’s done.
The group will be running town centre workshops on Saturday June 16 (Celestial Sun) and Saturday, June 23 (River Dragons and Mythical Creatures) - both between 11am and 3pm.
Celestial Sun takes place in Church Square, while River Dragons is being staged in Church Street. All you have to do to take part is turn up.
The workshops will give town centre visitors a chance to come and have a go.
Urban Canvas, established in 1997 and based in Liverpool, have been described as ‘masters of visual pavement art’ and ‘innovative workshop artists.’. The group has worked all over the UK, in Ireland, Europe, Istanbul, Bahrain, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The pavement art workshops form part of St Helens Council’s town centre event programme - designed to support town centre retailers and provide residents and visitors with a range of cultural opportunities.
