FANCY enjoying a taste of Spain right here in the heart of St Helens?

Well one lucky St Helens family is going to win a free ‘Chef’s selection’ meal for four with a jug of Sangria to celebrate the launch of the delicious new early evening Tapas menu at the Casa Vieja restaurant.

Tucked away down a quiet cobbled courtyard you will discover authentic Spanish flavours which have got food lovers from all over the North West raving about the quality including Saints and Liverpool players not to mention our own Johnny Vegas.

It's 20 years since chef Mano Estupi-nan enjoyed his first Christmas at La Casa Vieja and he's celebrating with a new early evening Tapas menu.

Mano is hoping to introduce new fans to his sunshine dishes... all prepared and cooked with the finest fresh produce by Mano and his kitchen team.

And if you're thinking this is Tapas where you all you get is a handful of olives, potatoes and meatballs in tiny saucers... then think again.

Mano's portions are legendary, far more generous than your standard Tapas. And they are all cooked with flair and skill in the restaurant.

Born in the Canary Islands, Mano's love of good cooking has won the Casa Vieja a proud reputation with everyone who loves great honest food.

Anyone who has enjoyed a meal there knows that the customer is king and if you are enjoying the main evening menu later on, nothing is too much trouble for Mano and the team.

Don't like prawns in your paella? Mano will rustle up something different for you, but still with his passion for fine fresh food.

According to daughter Siobhan, her dad can take six hours making his magnificent meatballs from the finest steak.

AS a special launch offer, you can enjoy a free San Miguel beer or glass of house wine with your early evening tapas from December 5-8..

You will find LA CASA VIEJA in Bickerstaffe Street just a few steps from St Helens Central near the Millennium Centre and a two minute stroll from the Theatre Royal and bus station.

Mano's new early evening Tapas menu runs each night Monday to Thursday from 5,30pm to 7.30pm. For £12.50 a head (minimum two people) you can choose five Tapas.

Here are just a few of the tasty treats to enjoy on the brand new early evening Tapas menu: Pollo Ajillo (chicken in garlic sauce), patatas con mojo (small potatoes in a Canarian sauce), pan ajo or alioli (garlic bread and bread with garlic sauce), carne and pollo picante (spicy meat and chicken), picadillo (topside beef in red wine), cerdo frito ((fried pork, peppers and potatoes,) ensalada de atun (tuna salad), tortilla Espanola (Spanish omelette) and championes ajillo (garlic mushrooms).
