THE streets of St Helens will be alive with sound and colour this weekend as the International Festival and Vibe come to town.

And we have a great meet and greet competition for one lucky reader to win.

VICTORIA Square will be buzzing on Saturday, as young music fans flock together to enjoy VIBE, one of the best free urban music festivals in the country.

As part of the International Festival, VIBE will run from 3pm to 8pm and features some sensational acts.

The event – organised by St Helens Council in partnership with Love Music Hate Racism – will be headlined by Tiny Dancer DJ Ironik, who will join the winners of a meet and greet competition on the day.

He will be supported at VIBE by music/dance TV stars Six-D, hip-hop favourites Aquablakk and Liverpool R’n’B stars KOF and Chelcee Grimes.

Local hip-hop musicians will be getting in on the action – A ME B singer Carmela Finnigan, Citadel artists DJ Rasp and Leo Outcast and street dance act Gingerbread Man.

The first 100 visitors to the festival will receive a free goodie bag and there will be some free competitions.

North West arts and cultural development agency Brouhaha International is providing a selection of fine talent from across Europe, Africa and Asia to perform a vibrant mix of music, dance and street entertainment.
