VISITORS to St Helens Show were treated to a trip down memory lane, as members of St Helens Classic Car Association cruised into Sherdley Park with their prize collection.

The wide range of stunning vehicles on show, included Lambretta mopeds from the 60s mod era and an American highway patrol Chevrolet Caprice.

Keith Fox (pictured) from Windle has had Rolls Royce and Bentley cars for twelve years and it took him two years to rebuild the engine of this 1933 Rolls Royce 2025.

Founded in January 2003 by Dave, Peter and Rob Jones, St Helens Classic Car Association is a local club for anybody with an interest in "Classic Cars".

There are a wide variety of makes and types in the club, including Buicks, Triumphs, Daimler, Lotus, Morris Minors, Jaguar and the only Chrysler 180 in town.

After supporting Zoe's Place hospice last year, this year the St Helens Classic Car Association will be raising funds for the Mayor's Appeal, which is The Princess Royal Trust St Helens Carers Centre. The centre is a registered charity that is governed by carers for carers. Their aim is to provide help, support and information to the many carers in the Borough to ensure that carers of any age feel valued and supported by the government and the community.

You don't have to own a classic car to join the St Helens Classic Car Association, as just an interest will do. The next meeting of the club will be on 19 August at the Royal Alfred on Shaw Street, starting at 7.30pm.
