A SUMMER gala at Ashurst County Primary proved a soaraway success, raising around £3,000 for school funds.
Pupils at the school in New Glade Hill, Blackbrook helped to sell 1,500 balloons to boost funds, with youngster Nicole Soni selling the most - 80!
Saints' winger, Ade Gardner, pictured here with some of the youngsters, released the balloons and showed off the Challenge Cup to visitors. Other attractions included an It's A Knockout contest and donkey rides. Head teacher, Adrian Antell said the gala was a great success.
