A DESPERATE family are appealing for any help in tracing their much-loved pet Jess, who vanished on New Years Eve.

Jan Stewart thanked everyone who has joined in the search over the last weeks and said they have been scouring Rainhill night and day and putting up posters.

There have been apparent sightings of Jess in Sutton and Clock Face, but the most up-to-date was on January 21 in Rainhill.

Jess (pictured) is a shorthaired collie cross with three black legs and one white. She was wearing a pink collar and tag at the time she disappeared.
