ARE the skies over St Helens a UFO hotspot after yet more sightings of weird phenomena?

Stargazers in Thatto Heath were amazed after a ‘flame like’ object was seen hurtling through the sky. Another family saw ‘circular lights’.

‘The Flame’ has been seen six or seven times according to local resident, Bev Hodkinson who spotted the object while walking her dog.

Described as like a ‘flame’ in the sky it is said it is travelling too fast to be an aeroplane and appears at different heights in the sky, travelling in different directions.

Always appearing at around 10.30pm the unidentified object has managed to evade attempts to photograph it as it is said to be too far away and moves too fast and has locals baffled.

Mrs Hodkinson said: “It doesn’t look like an aeroplane, my husband thinks it could be some kind of comet, we are just wondering what it could be and if anyone else has seen it.”

Another object has been spotted by an eagle-eyed Star reader in the skies above Gorsey Lane on Sunday, July 27 at around 5pm. Mr Parr saw the unidentified object from his kitchen.

He said: “Me, my wife and son were in the kitchen having tea when we spotted something in the sky. I got my binoculars and saw two rows of three circles all joined into one, then it separated again.”

ANYONE else spotted strange lights in the sky... or photographed them...
