A MAN charged with causing the death of a woman by dangerous driving in a crash on the M62 in 2021 will face a Crown Court later this month.
A Black Audi A3 had collided with the central reservation between junctions seven and eight at about 11.35pm on Friday, September 24, 2021.
There was a subsequent collision involving a Silver Mercedes SUV.
Emergency services attended the scene following the crash.
A 35-year-old woman driver of the Audi was treated by paramedics at the scene, but died as a result of the injuries she suffered.
Gary Toomey, 36, of Hollin Hey Road, Bolton, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the crash.

Toomey appeared on Friday, March 22 at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrates sent the case to Liverpool Crown Court where Toomey will next appear on Friday, April 19 to issue a plea.
The 36-year-old was granted unconditional bail until then.
