A POWER cut has hit an area of Rainford this morning, Tuesday.
There has been a loss of power in the area around Sandwash Close and Mill Lane.
The issue was reported to Scottish Power at 9am.
It is hoped that electricity will be restored by midday.

In a statement, Scottish Power said: "There is a power cut affecting the WA11 postcode area of Rainford affecting Mill Lane, Sandwash Close and surrounding area.
"We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 9am. Our engineers are en-route to site to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We expect your electricity supply to be restored by midday. The latest updates can be found on our website, www.spenergynetworks.co.uk. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
