SAINTS' Totally Wicked Stadium has been named among the top 10 rugby stadiums in the country.

The 18,000-capacity stadium has been listed among the top purpose-built rugby stadiums of either code across the UK in the research conducted by gambling firm Betway. 

Betway assessed 30 UK venues, ranking them based on different metrics including Google review scores, capacity, accessibility, and overall affordability to unveil the top 10 best rugby stadiums for fans in the UK.

Cardiff's Prinipality Stadium and Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium were the top two respectively.

The stadium, which opened in 2012 under its original name Langtree Park, came in seventh in the list released by Betway.

It scored an average of 4.5 from Google review scores, was noted to be 0.7 miles from the nearest railway station at St Helens Central, with a price of £4.40 on two one-way trips by public transport.

It was noted there are 325 food and drink venues in the town.

Meanwhile, Leeds Rhinos' Headingley stadium was the only other Super League venue listed in the top 10, coming in eighth, and was found to offer the joint-cheapest accommodation price, at an average of £60.46.
