IT’S time for runners to sign up for this year's St Helens 10k, one of the biggest events in the borough’s calendar.

Every year hundreds of runners lace up their trainers and pound the St Helens streets with the aim of completing the course, which includes the North Road hill.

The event, organised by the Steve Prescott Foundation, has come a long way since the inaugural event in 2011 in Birchley Street car park, with more than 2,000 people taking part last year.
