Haydock Park will this weekend host back-to-back fixtures featuring top-class racing and showstopping entertainment over what is set to be one of their busiest weekends of the Summer Season. Here, general manager Molly Dingwall tells us about everything there is to look forward to.

Friday evening will mark the start of what is sure to be a hectic – but brilliant – 24 hours of action here at the racecourse.

From the iconic and our annual Ladies Day to thrilling Group 3 action with the Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes, we truly have something for everyone going on at Haydock Park this weekend.

The first of 13 races over the two days kicks-off at 5.40pm on Friday before hit-maker Nile Rodgers, joined by his acclaimed band, will take to the stage from 9pm.

We love hosting music nights here at the racecourse and have already had one unforgettable evening with Craig David this summer – so it goes without saying that we are all really excited for Friday evening.

And while the night itself will undoubtedly be one to remember in its own right, it will also serve as the perfect warm-up act for a brilliant day of fashion and more sporting action on Saturday.

Ladies Day is a special occasion for so many reasons, not least because we get to see the racecourse become awash with vibrant colours and brilliant fabrics, but also because we get to celebrate summer style at its very best.

This year we’re working with House of Cavani and The Buyers’ Club Clothing on the Style Awards, giving three lucky people the chance to win an array of amazing prizes.

We’re delighted to welcome back last year’s Style Award winner Glory Oduolisaeme as a judge for this year’s contest, along with personality Leanne Campbell-Power, who is also one of the founders of The Buyers’ Club Clothing.

Further details about how to enter the awards are available on our website and it really couldn’t be easier – so why not get dressed up and come along to see us.

On the track, the highlight of the day’s racing is the Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes, which takes place at 3pm.

The £75,000 contest was first run in 1986 as the Summer Trophy but was given its current title when it was promoted from Listed to Group 3 status in 1989.

Previous winners include Foxes Tales, Amnaat and Extra Elusive. A further six races on the day make up what is set to be a fantastic card of summer flat racing.

In a few weeks' time we’ll be racing again over three days of sporting brilliance with the Betfair Sprint Cup between September 7-9th.

Saturday the 9th will see our biggest race of the summer season taking place in the Sprint Cup, a Group 1 race which attracts some of the most exciting Sprinters in training.
