A MUCH-LOVED Easter Egg Trail is returning to Newton-le-Willows.

The event, organised by businesses on Newton High Street, is returning this Easter following a successful debut last year.

The Hive, a committee of businesses on the high street, is bringing back the trail, promised to be bigger and better.

The Easter Egg Trail will be the first event of the year for the high street, after a year full of events including the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Oktoberfest, and the Christmas Markets.

Katie, owner of Found on a Curb, said: "It started last year and there was a really big uptake to it. We did one on Halloween as well and the kids love it; it’s a nice walk up and down the high street.

"There are a few things they’ll see along the way, and we’re trying to make it better than last year.

"With this being the first Hive event of the year, everyone’s coming out of their shells now and the buzz is coming.

"Businesses are really getting involved; the spirit feels really good on the high street, like something you’ve never witnessed before. You don’t get this on many high streets."
