The Astra was found to have failed its MOT in November 2021, with its owner not getting the vehicle retested since then.

The vehcile's insurance was also cancelled in November 2021 so the car was seized by police and prohibited from the roads.

It’s illegal and unsafe to drive a car without a valid MOT and offenders can be fined up to £1,000.
