A PROVISIONAL driver has been reported by the police after losing control of her car and crashing into a tree.
Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit reported that a Mini Cooper had collided with a lamppost and a tree on Saturday, October 22.
Officers stated that the driver was driving too fast for the conditions and lost control of the car.
The car is reported to have mounted the pavement and crashed into a lamppost and a tree; causing the lamppost to fall in the process.
The driver is reported to be an unaccompanied provisional licence holder with no insurance.
It is illegal to drive on a provisional licence without a qualified driver in the car, and officers confirmed the driver was reported for all offences.
This may result in a fine and penalty points.
